Abrasive wheels safety online training (approved by the IIRSM and CPD)
Abrasive safety training should be provided to anyone who comes into contact with abrasive wheels (i.e. Grinding Wheels, Cutting Discs), or who is responsible for those who do. Including: Setters, Operators, Supervisors, and Stores workers.
This legislation makes it a legal requirement that operators, and those involved in the use of Abrasive Wheels are properly trained. What is the course and what does it include? The course is an online video based training course approved by the IIRSM and CPD with 11 modules:
Each module is explained clearly in plain English through video, and has a short test at the end of each module with a 70% pass rate. The course takes on average 100 minutes.
The course is a great way to learn how to safely use abrasive wheels for: light users, supervisors, and as a refresher to those who have previously received a trainer led abrasive safety course. Note: For regular users of abrasive wheels, who have not received a trainer led abrasive safety training course in the last three years, we recommend taking one of our British Abrasive Federation accredited trainer led training courses. Our trainer led training courses can be adapted to meet your specific needs. |
